This year, Rancho Student Council is supporting autism and the F.E.A.T. (Families for Effective Autism Treatment) program of Southern Nevada. The mission of F.E.A.T is to provide information on treatment resources for families with children diagnosed with autism, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and related disorders. Autism is a biological and neurological spectral disorder that typically appears during the first three years of life. It affects brain function and is a life long disability resulting in behaviors that affect both verbal and non-verbal communication skills, so it is vitally important that society work together to help support autism awareness and support programs.
