Our Story

Nero doesn’t see the world the way most people do—and that’s exactly what makes him so special. There was a time I worried about all the things he might struggle with—words that didn’t come easily, crowded rooms that felt overwhelming, changes that seemed too big. But he showed me something I didn’t expect: strength doesn’t always look loud or fast. Sometimes it looks like trying again. And again. And again. He reminds me every day that progress isn’t measured by how closely we match others—but by how bravely we become ourselves. Children like my son need more than understanding—they need support. They need access to therapies, programs, and opportunities that can help them grow, communicate, and thrive. Too many families face these challenges alone, limited by resources instead of guided by possibility. That’s why we need places like FEAT. By raising awareness and funds, we can open doors that might otherwise remain closed. We can give children like my son the tools they need not just to navigate the world, but to shine in it.
